About the Archive

WE ARE ALL ABOUT IMAGES AND WORDS OF YESTERDAY AND TODAY  AN ARCHIVE OF PEOPLE AND SCIENCE ON AND ABOUT GREENLAND

The Snowblast in action on the ice sheet, 1958

Examining the sub-ice sediment from Camp Century, 1966

This is a growing archive of material about the American presence in Greenland during the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. While centered on Camp Century, the City Under the Ice, we include images, artifacts, articles, and reports from other U.S. installations and science parties on Greenland.
